About the role
This position leads the daily activities of associates in an Ecommerce fulfillment production environment. This includes making decisions about or assessing accuracy of system functions and information. Provide information, guidance and direction to within your area of responsibility. Monitor and maintain performance standards of direct reports, identifying performance improvement needs of subordinates and coaching to improve their knowledge and overall productivity and skills.
The impact you can have
- Delegate work assignments and monitor as necessary to maintain efficient production of associates in accordance with established SOPs and labor management standards.
- Monitor customer orders to ensure date priorities are applied and ensure completion of work assignments.
- Supervise and train associates in department functions, procedures, and rules and provide consistent enforcement of same. Also ensure associates are consistently held accountable to policies and procedures.
- Research, evaluate and resolve problems with merchandise to ensure its routing to the proper processing mode.
- Communicate production statistics and issues to immediate supervisor and operations management as required.
- Communicate and enforce safe work practices to prevent accidents.
- Conduct meetings to communicate updates, priorities and changes to associates; Support team building at all levels within production environment.
You’ll bring to the role
- 2+ years supervisory experience in an ecommerce fulfillment (preferred) or highly automated distribution environment
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems, PKMS preferred
- Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and across all levels
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and plan and execute responsibilities on schedule
- Ability to prioritize activities, direct and motivate a team to achieve maximum results in their daily work
- Strong problem solving and organization skills
- Adaptability to a rapidly changing environment
- Must have solid PC skills, including the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access database, and Outlook
