About the role

In partnership with the Store Management Team, cultivate an inclusive culture that provides equitable opportunities and drives Associate and customer engagement. Lead activities required to achieve all store goals which includes financial objectives, Customer service, people management, operational controls, asset protection and safety, and merchandise presentation.

The impact you can have

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Drive revenue by proactively managing the Customer experience while effectively performing Manager On Duty responsibilities.
    • Ensure that the Customers remain the top priority while balancing required tasks and overall store operations.
    • Drive results & anticipate Customers’ needs while clearly communicating store and individual performance goals to motivate Associates.
    • Coach Associates “in the moment” on Customer interactions and performance to maximize productivity and capture Customer opportunities.
    • Support the store’s business strategy and adjusts tactics as needed to effectively reach goals.
    • Clearly communicate company direction to the team.
    • Embrace fashion, understand current market trends and be able to articulate them using Brand interpretations in every Customer interaction. Represent the Brand by adhering to Brand’s dress code guidelines.
    • Safeguard keys to the store, perform opening and closing procedures, and assume PIN and signature privileges for register functions requiring approval.
    • Support and maintain merchandise flow/freight processes while ensuring proper floorset execution to current Brand visual standards.
    • Utilize reports to make effective merchandising and styling decisions in line with Brand standards.
    • Leverage tools and take action to drive operational excellence through Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
    • Assist with talent acquisition and associate development and retention and assist with New Hire onboarding and ongoing Associate training.
    • Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to accomplish assigned tasks.
    • Contribute to the efforts to prevent shrink and raise and maintain safety awareness.
    • Report to work as scheduled; record time worked accurately by using Brand’s Time and Attendance system; remain flexible to the needs of the business.
    • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Store, District, or Regional leaders.

You'll bring to the role

  • 1+ year retail management experience (preferred)

  • A hospitality mindset when connecting with customers and associates

  • Technology proficient and ability to operate a point-of-sale system

  • Strong business acumen and ability to implement action plans to drive results

  • Takes initiative in making thoughtful decisions
