About The Role

This role is part of the Strategic Procurement team and supports the procurement work across the organization. The Procurement Analyst is responsible for optimizing the procurement process by analyzing spend data, evaluating supplier performance, and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives. This role involves managing procurement systems, ensuring data accuracy, and providing insights to drive cost savings and operational efficiency. The Procurement Analyst collaborates with internal stakeholders to identify needs, create project plans, and track procurement activities. Key tasks include data analysis, vendor management, forecasting, and supporting the RFP process.

The Impact You Can Have

Spend Analytics:

  • Evaluate spend data to identify potential cost-saving measures and enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Review, cleanse, classify, and analyze spend
  • Spend and budget data by vendor, department, and commodity for internal meetings, stakeholder discussions, and RFXs

Project Tracking:

  • Set up projects in the management tool based on requests generated from ticketing system
  • Ensure team updates are current updated daily/weekly
  • Support team in project updates

Sourcing:

  • Assist team with bid requests and pricing comparisons
  • Maintain repository for sourcing events and results.
  • Prepare data and backup for category-level communication decks.

Master Data:

  • Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and quality assurance of master data related to non-merchandise items
  • Ensure all non-merchandise master data is accurate, consistent, and readily available to support procurement, inventory management, and financial reporting.

Reporting & Process:

  • Issue weekly project status meeting
  • Spend analysis reporting
  • Document policies and processes
  • PowerPoint and process flow creation

Systems:

  • Act as the system administrator for all procurement tools
  • Creation of system reporting, new fields, project template maintenance

What You'll Bring to the Role

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or another related field.
  • Typically has 2-4 years of business experience in procurement, finance or other related functions.
  • Knowledge of procurement and finance functions is required, with experience in the retail industry being a plus.
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience with financial tools such as SAP and Oracle
  • Exceptional analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
  • Flexibility to execute, adapt, prioritize and multi-task in an ever-changing environment at a high growth company.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and possesses ability to work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proven organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize demands of job along with communications skills.
  • High energy and works well in teams.
  • Demonstrates a high regard for personal integrity.
