About the role:

This position is responsible for the support of the procurement function of all non-merch goods and services; supporting and guiding internal customers in the selection of appropriate supplies that meet requirements; organizing and maintaining accurate and complete records; and adherence to procurement policies, processes & procedures. As a direct report to the Vice President of Non-Merchandise this role will also include coordination of all internal training material, communication list and other support functions such scheduling and report collecting for distribution.

The impact you'll have:

  • Prepare and issue purchase orders from purchase requests
  • Research requested products and services; interact with internal and external customers responding to requests
  • Source, solicit proposals and conduct competitive bids
  • Confer with vendors to confirm or obtain product or service information such as price, availability and delivery information
  • Analyze proposals and other data and information to determine reasonable prices
  • Evaluate vendors for the purpose of determining their capability for performing to established specifications  
  • Confirm orders with vendors and internal customers, and follow through to assure timely, accurate and complete deliveries; resolve discrepancies, manage returns and exchanges as required
  • Maintain and produce documentation of requisitions, purchase orders, quotes, supplies and product specifications, pricing, units of measure, performance terms, contracts, suppliers, manufacturers and other pertinent information
  • Reconcile invoices to receivers and purchase orders, resolving any issues with vendors to ensure  invoices submitted for payment are accurate
  • Maintain bid lists, vendor files and records, and assist if needed to prepare bid specifications
  • Evaluate and monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and to determine need for changes
  • Establish effective relationships with other departments to achieve desired results; leverage relationships with internal and external business partners to drive organizational vision & strategy
  • Identify and implement process improvements to maximize efficiencies and improve service
  • Other general administration functions as assigned

You'll bring to the role:

  • Experience with technology procurement preferred
  • 3+ years procurement experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of concepts, principles and techniques of purchasing
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong customer service skills; team oriented
  • Ability to multi-task gracefully and adapt to changing conditions in a fast paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external customers in a pleasant, courteous and efficient manner
  • Expertise to work effectively with detailed financial data at a high degree of accuracy
  • Project and maintain a professional appearance and behavior consistently

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED
