About the role
This position will serve a key role in the KnitWell finance organization, overseeing KnitWell capital planning and project cost analysis. In this role, you will work directly with shared service Finance, RE and IT leadership teams to develop project cost models and report/measure capital expenditures vs established targets. Additional FP&A responsibilities for Real Estate business function.
The impact you can have
- Develop thorough understanding of the business operational functions and key revenue and cost drivers.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the annual capital plan, including monthly forecasting, monthly reporting of project tracking and status, and project level variance analysis
- Develop and present executive level presentations
- Develop collaborative relationships with leaders in operating divisions, as well as in Finance and Procurement
- Provide financial partnership to IT, RE and Corp business partners in the development of project business cases, including but not limited to modeling one-time and recurring cost impacts, validating accounting treatment and reviewing proposed contract terms.
- FP&A responsibilities for functional business areas including monthly close process, variance analysis, and presentation of results
- Identify and implement enhancements to forecasting and reporting capabilities
- Lead ad hoc analysis
You’ll bring to the role
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA or MBA a plus
- 8+ years experience with progressive financial reporting and planning experience
- Strong Accounting background and knowledge of spend classification, and experience working closely with Fixed Asset team
- Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with Oracle and Hyperion preferred but not required
- Ability to build financial models and analyses with limited guidance, and make recommendations to improve results
- Innovative thinker with strong desire to improve process and streamline workflow
- Detail oriented with highly developed problem solving skills and excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and effectively prioritize to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
- Self-starter that can work with little supervision, but can collaborate with team in a pro-active and positive way
- Retail industry experience preferred
