The Information Technology (IT) Analyst Internship program will offer exposure to a variety of functions within the IT space, including Network, Client Tech, and Store Support teams.
Internship Details
Network Support: The Network team maintains and administers the company's corporate and store networks. Implements, administers, and troubleshoots network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and load balancers.
- Designing and implementing new network solutions
- Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
- Investigating faults in the network
- Reporting network status to key stakeholders
- Exposure to an on-call rotation
Client Technology: The Client Technology team configures, installs, and maintains users’ desktop software and hardware; supports mobile workforce. Provides consultation to users for all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems software. Provides technical support and guidance through Tier 1 support and works with vendors to resolve Tier 2 issues. May also provide on-site training to users.
- Coordinating software deployment
- Supporting end user hardware break/fix process and client software
- Managing hardware provisioning
- Administrative – Tracks time in time tracking tool, attends weekly status meetings and other meetings, maintains incident tickets, emails, and other documentation.
Store Support: The Store Support team works on critical issues escalated from other IT teams and business partners. Provides exceptional customer service to store personnel through level 2 incident management. Works on multiple types of hardware and software issues such as POS registers, apple hardware/software, traffic counters, OrPOS POS software, POS peripherals, and other related systems.
- Attends daily status meetings
- Maintains incident tickets and email escalations
- Project related work and miscellaneous tasks as assigned by leadership
Internship Qualifications:
- Experience with PCs, Windows OS, Microsoft Office products, iOS, and Apple related products
- Experience working in a team environment as well as independently to meet timelines and goals
- Understanding of computer hardware, mobility devices & client/Server applications
- Must be able to learn new software packages
- Must have PC troubleshooting skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must show a sense of urgency, being able to perform and multitask under pressure
- Ability to work with customers, partners and suppliers at all levels within the business.
- Able to articulate and present different points of views on various technologies
- Time management skills as well as the ability to be flexible and creative
Program Details
- The KnitWell Group Summer Internship Program welcomes the classes of 2025 and 2026 college students to work with several of our brands (Ann Taylor, Lane Bryant, LOFT, Talbots) and Corporate Shared Services to kick-start their career in retail. This immersive experience offers interns the opportunity to work hands-on with their department for 10-weeks and receive professional development opportunities including executive chats, professional workshops, store visits, etc., and participation in a collaborative team project.
- The pay rate for the position is $20.00/hr.
- KnitWell Group does not offer housing near any of our corporate office locations. Participating students must have the ability to independently secure and finance housing in a commutable distance of the office location.
