We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated IT Intern to join our dynamic Stores Technology team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and exposure to various aspects of IT operations, systems management, and technical support. As an IT Intern, you will work closely with experienced IT professionals, assisting with daily tasks, troubleshooting technical issues, and learning key IT concepts in a fast-paced, real-world environment.
Internship Details
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and architects to assist in the detailed design of classes and components, ensuring alignment with project requirements and objectives.
- Assist in coding, testing, and debugging software applications or technical architecture components.
- Support the configuration, setup, and ongoing maintenance of server-based applications.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and collaborate with offshore teams on development activities.
- Provide support to the QA and business teams with application testing and troubleshooting.
- Adhere to best security coding practices to minimize common coding vulnerabilities and ensure application security.
- Assist in resolving hardware and software issues for employees, ensuring prompt resolution of technical problems.
- Work closely with the DevOps team to implement and support DevOps practices, contributing to the setup and management of CI/CD pipelines.
Internship Qualifications
- Programming Language: Any (Preferred: Java, Spring Boot)
- Working knowledge of how to design, code, test, and debug software applications.
- Experience working in a team environment as well as independently to meet project timelines and goals and to resolve problem.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
- Must show a sense of urgency, being able to perform and multitask under pressure
- Proven ability to transfer knowledge and stay aware of current trends and technical advancements
- Ability to articulate and present different points-of-views on various technologies
- Time management skills as well as the ability to be flexible and creative
Program Details
- The KnitWell Group Summer Internship Program welcomes the classes of 2025 and 2026 college students to work with several of our brands (Ann Taylor, Lane Bryant, LOFT, Talbots) and Corporate Shared Services to kick-start their career in retail. This immersive experience offers interns the opportunity to work hands-on with their department for 10-weeks and receive professional development opportunities including executive chats, professional workshops, store visits, etc., and participation in a collaborative team project.
- The pay rate for the position is $20.00/hr.
- KnitWell Group does not offer housing near any of our corporate office locations. Participating students must have the ability to independently secure and finance housing in a commutable distance of the office location.
