About the role
This is an entry-level client technology position.  Configures, installs monitors and maintains users’ desktop software and hardware; supports mobile workforce.  Provides consultation to users for all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems software.  Provides technical support and guidance through Tier 1 support and works with vendors to resolve Tier 2 issues.  Responsible for documenting solutions to problems and developing end-user guidelines.  May provide on-site training to users.  Evaluates, maintains, modifies (e.g., creates macros, templates) and documents desktop application packages, participates in the testing and evaluation of new desktop packages and implements prototypes.  Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.  Must be proficient in networking, wireless, RF handhelds, Zebra printers, mobile equipment.

  • Participate as technical lead on projects related to “production” related equipment.
  • Coordinate software deployment
  • Creation of process and technical support documentation
  • Support end user hardware break/fix process
  • Support end user client software
  • Manages hardware provisioning
  • Administrative – Tracks time in time tracking tool, attends weekly status meetings and other meetings, maintains incident tickets, emails, and other documentation.

You’ll bring to the role

  • Minimum requirement – Certificate or degree in a Computer Related Field
  • Experience with PCs, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office products
  • Working knowledge of network fundamentals
  • Understanding of computer hardware, mobility devices & client/Server applications
  • Must be able to learn new software packages
  • Must have PC troubleshooting skills
  • Must possess strong customer service skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and be able to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to follow schedule and meet deadlines
  • Ability to follow process
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to interact with 2nd and 3rd party support staff
  • At ease in working with customers, partners, and suppliers at all levels within the business
