The HR Coordinator provides essential administrative and operational support to the Human Resources function, ensuring day to day HR processes run smoothly, accurately and in compliance with company policies and employment laws. This role will serve as a point of contact for associates, addressing questions and providing directions as needed.
The impact you can have
- Assist with the new hire and exit processes and communicate the appropriate information for each
- Prepare materials for new hire orientation and information sessions and support the facilitation of those presentations
- Maintain I-9 compliance
- Maintain compliance with various associate changes in Workday and ensure that Workday is up to date
- Cover HR Hours servicing the DC hourly population as scheduled to assist associates
- Maintain the HR DC Lobby Library and Care Room – ensure communications and resources are updated and timely
- Create and execute monthly recognition programs
- Plan and execute engagement activities for the Distribution Center population
- Schedule and reserve meeting locations for various DC associate activities such as small group meetings
- Pull reporting from Workday as requested
- Assist with ad hoc HR projects and events
- Support business initiatives in the Distribution Center as assigned
- Maintain a positive, friendly, and approachable presence with Distribution Center and Corporate partners by actively seeking opportunities to connect
You’ll bring to the role
Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
Experience:
- Typically, 1-2 years of experience in an administrative position preferred or experience in a distribution center or manufacturing setting
- Basic understanding of business functions
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to navigate change and adapt in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities on a regular basis
- Strong ability to prioritize and shift focus to manage and determine daily/weekly/monthly priorities
- High level of professionalism, integrity and emotional intelligence
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong computer literacy with capabilities including Outlook, MS Office and related business and communication tools, experience in Workday is a plus
