About the role
The Asset Protection Specialist has a thorough knowledge of KnitWell Groups security and life safety procedures and is responsible for supporting the protection of our enterprise assets, which include associates, product, and property. This individual must maintain company and departmental policy and procedural expertise and ongoing action readiness for incidents related to life safety and Asset Protection within the organization and provides detailed reporting to various staff and support departments.
The impact you can have
- Greet, engage, and assist associates, vendors, and visitors upon arrival.
- Responsible for access control to our properties by verifying that associates are on approved entry list, and visitors/vendors are entered into the visitor’s log.
- Create ID badges and assign appropriate security clearance.
- Maintains thorough knowledge of/and monitors facilities CCTV, and access control systems.
- Answers and transfers internal/external phone calls.
- Responsible for initiating internal/external investigations based off daily inspections findings and/or information received from other sources/information.
- Responsible for creating incident/injury reports and applying first aid in times of need.
- Build productive business relationships and demonstrate an understanding of each function.
- Make knowledgeable and informed decisions based on the department’s P&P’s.
- Supports AP management by completing various Asset Protection vendor management responsibilities from the corporate office.
- Performs other administrative duties as needed by Asset Protection Management.
You’ll bring to the role
- At least 6 months’ experience in Asset Protection / Loss Prevention or Corporate Security preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Primary shift is: 4:00pm to 12:00am, Monday through Friday.
- Self-motivated; must be able to work with little or no supervision during shift.
- Excellent organizational skills and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- First Aid, CPR, AED certification preferred.
- Possess basic Microsoft skills (i.e. Office, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).

This position works on-site 5 days per week consistent with the needs of the business at our Talbots office location in Hingham, MA.
