About the role

As a key member of both the Company Planning team and the Promotional Committee, you will be responsible for daily channel forecasting that aligns with company strategies and financial targets.  The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data into actionable strategies and influence across multiple cross functional teams.   

The impact you can have

  • Responsible for forecasting at a daily level to reflect trends that align with company direction.

  • Develop expertise in both pre-season and in-season forecasts for sales, margin and inventory at the channel level.

  • Ensure alignment of top/down company plan strategies and targets with the bottom/up daily category/promotional level plans.

  • Member of the Lane Bryant Promotional Team, driving decisions based on hindsight analysis and test results.

  • Recommend promotional and markdown strategies to maximize omni-channel profitability.

  • Identify issues, provide recommendations for opportunities and solutions for risks using analytics and creative problem solving. 

  • Responsible for standardized and ad hoc reporting for with executive level output.

  • Communicate the business needs to Manager and Sr. Leadership.

  • Collaborate with Merch Planning to support consistency and best practices throughout the organization.

  • Support and be a change agent for company initiatives.

You’ll bring to the role

  • 3-5+ years of experience in planning, finance or strategy.

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data into actionable strategies.

  • The ability to work with ambiguity and apply critical thinking to complex problems.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence.

  • Build collaborative relationships with a diverse group of cross functional business partners.

  • Strong proficiency in Excel/PowerPoint required; database management experience preferred.

  • The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities simultaneously and prioritize appropriately.

  • A strong sense of urgency and a high level of attention to detail.

  • Naturally curious and comfortable asking questions and seeking guidance.

  • Flexible and able to adapt to change.
