Lane Bryant is looking for a creative, self-motivated & driven Social Media Intern to support our social media strategy, content creation and social performance. This intern will play a vital role in supporting the execution of our social media campaigns, capturing high-quality content, and organizing talent & product samples for social specific photoshoots. You will help elevate the Lane Bryant brand by capturing and editing content that speaks directly to our core audience: Plus-Sized women aged 35-50. This internship provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing, content strategy, and the fashion retail industry.
Internship Details
- Content Strategy & Planning: Assist in the development and execution of social media strategies that engage our target audience (women aged 35-50) on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Content Creation: Help ideate, capture, and edit social media content for posts, stories, reels, and videos that align with Lane Bryant’s voice and brand aesthetic.
- Photoshoot Support: Assist in organizing and coordinating photoshoots, including handling product samples and coordinating with talent.
- Capture Engaging Content: Take on-site photos and videos, ensuring they reflect Lane Bryant’s brand values of body positivity, inclusivity, and style.
- Editing & Design: Edit and enhance photos, videos, and graphics for social media posts using tools such as Canva, Adobe Suite, Capcut, Inshot or AI tools to create visually compelling content.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date on social media trends, fashion industry developments, and competitor activity, providing actionable insights for content creation.
- Analytics & Reporting: Assist in tracking performance metrics of social media content, monitor engagement, and provide reports on content performance and campaign results.
- Collaborative Projects: Work alongside the marketing team to brainstorm ideas for campaigns, product launches, and community-building initiatives.
Internship Qualifications
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate student majoring in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience using Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok (personal or professional).
- Strong understanding of social media trends, engagement tactics, and platform algorithms.
- Ability to organize and manage tasks efficiently, while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling captions and storylines.
- Passion for fashion, inclusivity, and empowering women.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
Program Details
- The KnitWell Group Summer Internship Program welcomes the classes of 2025 and 2026 college students to work with several of our brands (Ann Taylor, Lane Bryant, LOFT, Talbots) and Corporate Shared Services to kick-start their career in retail. This immersive experience offers interns the opportunity to work hands-on with their department for 10-weeks and receive professional development opportunities including executive chats, professional workshops, store visits, etc., and participation in a collaborative team project.
- The pay rate for the position is $20.00/hr.
- KnitWell Group does not offer housing near any of our corporate office locations. Participating students must have the ability to independently secure and finance housing in a commutable distance of the office location.
