About the role

The Planning Analyst role influences business actions by translating data into actionable insights and recommendations. This role analyzes trends, evaluates performance and partners cross-functionally to inform decisions to support execution of sales and inventory strategies.

The impact you can have

  • Support preseason channel planning by preparing accurate sales and inventory inputs; maintain planning tools and datasets.

  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reporting; proactively identify and flag discrepancies or risks.

  • Produce and maintain standardized reporting to support business needs; validate outputs before distribution.

  • Analyze historical and in-season performance to identify trends, anomalies, and key drivers of choice count results.

  • Translate data into insights, forming initial recommendations with guidance from senior team members.

  • Partner with Merchandising, Merch Planning, Marketing, and Finance teams to gather inputs and deliver timely outputs.

  • Develop understanding of the marketing calendar, promotional activity, and impact on sales and inventory.

  • Communicate findings clearly and concisely, both written and verbal; ask questions to clarify gaps in understanding.

  • Build strong working relationships through reliability, consistency, and follow-through on deliverables.

  • Demonstrate curiosity and initiative by seeking to improve processes, enhance reporting, and expand business knowledge.

You’ll bring to the role

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field

  • 3-5 years' experience in an analytical position.  Planning experience is a plus

  • Retail or Specialty retailer experience strongly preferred

  • Experience with Data Warehouse required (Micro strategy experience strongly preferred)

  • Advanced MS Excel experience required (data manipulation)

  • Experienced MS Access user preferred

  • Intermediate to advance Microsoft Office experience highly preferred
