About the role
The Assistant Manager, Retail Marketing supports the development and execution of store marketing strategies. This individual will play a key role in implementing marketing initiatives to drive store traffic, build brand awareness in centers and successfully launch stores in new markets. Strong team skills are required in this role, staying in close communication with channel owners to drive cross-functional alignment and develop impactful store support.

The impact you can have

  • Lead new store opening marketing efforts inclusive of:
    • Store opening events – managing vendor relationships, getting the word out through owned channels, seeking support from mall marketing managers
    • Brand Awareness – executing paid advertising within malls, leading content creation for placement on owned & mall channels, working with local talent to promote openings
  • Oversee existing store marketing:
    • Managing relationships with center partners to take advantage of gratis mall marketing
    • Create unique marketing plans to drive additional traffic to select opportunity stores
  • Concept and execute in-store marketing activations to support large brand pillar events
  • Assist with budget management for store-specific projects
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to bring store marketing strategies to life (PR/Social/Email/Site/Visual Merchandising)
  • Manage project brief development and hand-off process – ensuring store needs are communicated and executed effectively across all assets
  • Actively and independently explore new tactics to build buzz, boost engagement and drive traffic to stores
  • Recap and hindsight results from all mall marketing initiatives

You’ll bring to the role

  • Natural problem-solver with the ability to perform under pressure
  • Ability to multi-task: overseeing new stores as well as the existing fleet
  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Outstanding communication skills – verbal and written
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and speaks their mind
  • Finger on the pulse of the competitive landscape
  • 1-3 years prior work experience in retail marketing
  • BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Media Communication or related field

  • The target salary range for this role is: $62,400 - $64,000
