The International, Wholesale and Licensing Assistant Merchant will be responsible for providing day-to-day support for the KnitWell Group’s growing International, Wholesale and Licensing team. You will learn about the different brands in our portfolio, including Ann Taylor, LOFT, Chico’s, Lane Bryant, White House Black Market, Soma and Talbots, and manage a diverse portfolio of projects and partners. This is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new strategic initiative. You will work in a start-up environment, while being able to access the resources and established infrastructure of a major company. The impact you can have
- Understand Product: Learn each brand’s product line; understanding the key product stories, positioning and GTM processes.
- Understand Partner’s Unique Positioning: Work with external wholesale, distribution and/or licensing partners to understand their consumer, unique market dynamics, business opportunities and requirements.
- Build Assortments: Assist the AVP of Merchandising to translate our Brand’s key product stories to meet each external partner’s unique needs. Curate balanced, consumer-right, seasonal product plans that meet both our Brand’s and our partner’s expectations.
- Manage Market Week: Assist in the creation of dynamic sell-in and purchase order tools and the presentation of product assortments during seasonal milestone meetings. Assist in the management of the buying process from start to finish, creating strong relationships with buyers and internal brand teams.
- Analytics: Assist in analyzing sales performance and partner analytics to make informed recommendations on assortment adjustments and incremental opportunities.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional and external teams to ensure orders are created and managed appropriately, track product deliveries, partner logistics compliance, vendor set up, invoicing and calendar management.
- Licensing: Own the process of tracking product approvals, samples and vendor compliance. Track quarterly sales and royalty forecasts, reporting and assist in preparation and planning of quarterly business reviews. Lead the creation of seasonal creative toolkits through cooperation with individual brand teams and communicate tools to licensed partners.
You’ll bring to the role
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2-3 years in account management, Licensing and/or Wholesale or related experience
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Strong self-management and time management skills
- Detail oriented, with excellent follow-through
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Growth mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally as needed

- The target salary range for this role is: $24.04 - $28.85 hourly*

This position works in a hybrid model, with four days per week worked in the New York, NY location and one day per week worked remotely.
