About the role

The Manager, Social Media is responsible for authoring and executing an overall LOFT social media strategy that builds awareness and engagement. Candidate must have an understanding of the emerging landscape and effective content strategies as well as analytics to optimize and grow the platforms. The manager will be responsible for development of brand blogger strategy, social first campaigns and content exclusives that drive results and increased affinity. Role is highly cross-functional working with Marketing, Design and Ecommerce and is supported by a team of creatives who will develop assets to bring the strategic vision to life. The Manager should have deep expertise across various disciplines including: Social Media Strategy & Analytics, Storytelling and Content Creation, Community Management and Customer Care.

  • Author of social and platform strategy

  • Develop and partner to execute integrated campaigns

  • Analyze content performance and propose future optimizations

  • Stay up to date on new functionality, tools and evolving social capabilities

  • Identify and develop integrated partnership/sponsorship strategies to meet brand goals

  • Community management across all brand channels including social customer care

  • Liaise with creative team on seasonal, monthly and daily content needs

  • Brief PR team on influencer needs, including background on prior performance and direction for future programs

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners including our Ecommerce team to develop and leverage Marketing programs and identify new opportunities that align to company goals

  • Develop and drive annual social strategies across all platforms

You'll bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of experience executing social media marketing & digital programs

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; creative/editorial copywriting experience a plus

  • Forward-thinking and highly collaborative with balance of left and right brain thinking (analytical and creative)

  • Social community management experience including crisis management

  • Experience with a variety of online content management systems including Tumblr

  • Familiarity with digital analytics and media tracking tools (Omniture and Google Analytics)

  • Experience managing digital production including agency production team resources

  • Experience managing projects on top of monitoring social APIs

  • Contacts and well-developed relationships across relevant online press channels; experience executing social public relations campaigns

  • Digital media buying and implementation experience including progressive & holistic social media

  • Ability to succeed in fast-paced, large, corporate environment with many cross-functional partners

  • Genuine enjoyment of extensive social interactions/communities with love for customer care

  • Ability to handle the job on a 24/7 basis as necessary

  • The target salary range for this role is: $80K-$90K.
