About the role

The Senior Manager of Product Development & Production drives the process from seasonal development through to the manufacturing process in alignment with the divisional sourcing strategies and Product Lifecycle Calendar. Manages to ensure IMU performance, quality, on time delivery nare achieved. Champions the company's values & practices by maintaining effective collaborative relationships.

  • Considered a leader within the CFT and offers recommendations and POV

  • Draws from knowledge and experiences to understand, approach and address various situations

  • Builds collaborative relationships and efficiencies within the CFT and is accountable for the information being discussed.

  • Manages and communicates seasonal time and actions calendars to associates, to ensure all functional tasks are executed correctly and are meeting deadlines.

  • Ensures department is meeting LT initiatives by managing T&A’s        

  • Tracks and adheres to and development agreements and communicates updates to the CFT.

  • Responsible owner of target setting, vendor allocation planning and monitoring, and guiding their direct reports on cost engineering, negotiating costs, and confirming costs

  • Manages own workload and delegates tasks to associates to consistently deliver accurate and timely results.

  • Analyzes complex information, has oversight of key processes, and makes recommendations to drive business initiatives and communicates with director and manager.

  • Is proactive in identifying and understanding the customer’s perspective and needs and keeping this top of mind in all decisions.

  • Achieves seasonal IMU aligned to the corporate financial objectives.

  • Interacts with cross-functional team in building seasonal assortments to align with corporate strategies.

  • Collaborates with logistics on all pre-classifications and binding rulings.

  • Handles other responsibilities and projects as assigned.

  • Holds calls with agents and vendors to stay connected and ensure departmental goals are being met

  • People Management

    • Responsible for the selection, development and retention of team members

    • Mentors, coaches and counsels direct reports on performance expectations

    • Provides a positive, challenging work environment.

    • Effectively articulates business vision and key initiatives and explains rationale to team.

You'll bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree, in a related field of study, or equivalent functional experience

  • Minimum 7+ years related experience in Product Development sourcing and Production,

  • Minimum management experience of two direct reports

  • Strong knowledge sweater yarn sweater gauges, stitches and sweater specific construction. The candidate needs to be able to cost engineer a sweater from yarn development through the production process.

  • Strong leadership and managerial skills

  • Flexible/adaptable in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong team orientation and ability to maintain collaborative working relationships.

  • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and decision-making skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, Gsuite, and cloud

The target salary range for this role is: $105K - $110K.
