​About the role:    

As Senior Financial Analyst you will be a core member of the finance team, responsible for providing financial analysis, insights, and strategic guidance to support leadership & key business partners. You will collaborate with various departments, including logistics & operations, to drive efficiency and boost profitability. The role is critical in the execution of the monthly close and forecast process, developing the budgets and long-range plans, and providing ad-hoc analysis to solve business problems. We are looking for a candidate with a strong analytical skillset, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in financial modeling.

The impact you can have

  • Collaborate with business partners to drive monthly financial forecasting and budgeting, ensuring timely and trend-reflective forecasts
  • Monitor and manage revenue/expenses on multiple lines of the P&L
  • Partner with the business and accounting team to understand risks and opportunities
  • Identify cost drivers and operational improvement to increase profitability and productivity
  • Leverage financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyses with limited guidance, and make recommendations to improve results
  • Assist in the creation of presentations for month end analysis, board of director meetings, budgets and other ad hoc projects
  • Build proficiency with SAP and Hyperion Essbase to ensure monthly budgets, forecasts, and key financial metrics are input into the systems and validated for accuracy
  • An organized Team Player with excellent follow-up skills and attention to detail 
  • Able to prioritize and manage workload in a fast-paced environment
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
  • A self starter who is looking to learn and make an impact to the business
  • A critical thinker with a passion for retail and problem solving

You’ll bring to the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or similar 
  • 3-5 years of business experience in a corporate finance/financial planning and analysis role, investment banking, consulting, or other related analytical role
  • Retail experience preferred, but not required
  • Advanced Excel skills with Microsoft Office proficiency; Excel power user with advanced spreadsheet management and financial modeling skills
  • Proven ability to apply quantitative reasoning to complex issues 
  • Ability to derive actionable insights from data and effectively guide decision making
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with all levels of management

  • The target salary range for this role is: $90,000 - 100,000*

This position works in a hybrid model, with approximately three days per week worked in our Times Square Tower (NYC) office location and approximately two days per week worked remotely.
