About the role
Manages all purchasing activity for the build out of retail stores, including inventory management, vendor relations, new fixture/material development, cost savings initiatives, and issue resolution.  Manages the flow of materials and fixtures to the construction job sites in the territory for all commodities, to make sure the job stays on schedule.

The impact you can have

  • Manage vendors including contract negotiation, inventory reporting, issue resolution, and product development.

  • Maintain Purchasing system, Excel Takeoffs, shop drawing files, fixture photos, parts reference manuals, and purchasing procedural manuals. 

  • Assist Buyers with inventory management process and procedures. Run reports in JDE for inventory reconciliation, commodity planning, and takeoff tracking, as required.

  • Create Purchase Orders using takeoff process in JDE Purchasing System, for new construction projects as well as remodels, and rollouts.

  • Provides documentation to both vendors and general contractors, facilitates emergency deliveries, and acts as a liaison between vendors and the job site.

  • Partners with design and construction teams to develop process changes and assist with takeoff and fulfillment issue resolution

  • Create, Maintain, and distribute OSM schedules and Blue/Green books. Maintain documentation of job activity, including takeoffs, OSMs, Parts Lists, and emails

  • Assist Purchasing Manager in contract negotiations, documentation, special projects, rollouts, and vendor communication as directed

You’ll bring to the role

  • Experience with MS Office suite; Outlook, Excel, Word.

  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as SAP / ERP systems and advanced Excel.

  • Strong communication skills and comfortable working cross functionally.

  • 4-7 years’ experience purchasing construction or related field.

  • Retail purchasing a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree a plus.  

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage change, and align with organization's brand strategies and values.

  • The target salary range for this role is: $75k-$85k
