Associates in this position perform lead basic tasks assigned within the Shipping and Receiving departments such as unloading trailers of cases received from vendors using fluid unload (conveyor) equipment.
- Lead the loading and unloading trailers of boxes weighing up to 75 lbs. and sort product by purchase order and SKU.
- Use the radio frequency scanner gun option to receive non-conveyable or noncompliant merchandise. Place non-conveyable cases on pallets sorted by cross-dock, store pack or reserve.
- Perform housekeeping duties as assigned. Perform any tasks as directed by leadership team.
- Check trailer manifest to ensure number of cartons received matches number expected and forward to appropriate location. Escalate any issues to Supervisor.

- 55% Be available on the Distribution Center floor to assist associates. Train associates in proper procedures and methods. Ability to delegate tasks within the department and institute existing and new procedures. Motivate associates to achieve goals. Ensure all areas are properly staffed
- 20% Ensure email communication between the Brands Analysts, Transportation, Vendor Compliance, and key contributors are acknowledged and provided the needed information in a timely manner.
- 15% Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports. Ensure distribution metrics are met. Compute workload and communicate to management. Ensure that all radio frequency scanner guns are accounted for before and after shift.
- 10% Resolve errors and be able to perform research. Develop cross-functional relationships with other departments. Flexibility to train in new areas of the business.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Basic reading, number sequence recognition and writing capability.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend for entire shift including potential overtime.
- 1 to 3 years Distribution Center experience. Must have strong knowledge and understanding of all areas
- Prior experience with Power equipment
- Able to maintain effective communication across cross-functional partnerships
- Processor functions and warehouse management systems (PKMS)
- Requires frequent lifting of up to 75 lbs.
- Good written and verbal communication skills as well as PC skills and the ability to demonstrate
- Problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work as a hands-on team member and be flexible to changes with a proven ability to lead others
- Train, coach and provide direction to associates
- Ability to make suggestions regarding improvement ideas in the department and throughout the business.
