Q & A
Tell us about your career journey at Talbots.
I started my journey at Talbots in September 2016 as the Store Manager for our first Company Store. The Company Store was a new concept within Talbots Outlet Division designed to open stores in lifestyle shopping plazas. Based on the success of the first opening, I had the opportunity to train Store Managers for additional Company Stores, which led to my role as Training Store Manager. I loved supporting new leaders in building strong, collaborative teams and fostering a culture of learning and growth.
As I grew within the company, I contributed to technology-focused projects with the Home Office team to improve store operations and efficiency. I also served on the Field Advisory Committee [a partnership between field leaders and Home Office merchants], collaborating with merchants to review store and customer feedback to enhance product selection. Additionally, I participated in a Human Resources summit and assisted with store openings, supported teams, and helped establish solid foundations for new locations.
Next, I became a District Talent Scout, helping leaders attract strong talent aligned with team values and goals. These experiences eventually led to my role as a Market Manager, where I oversee multiple stores, drive performance, and continue supporting associates' development. Today, I also serve as a Training Store Manager, which keeps me connected to what I love most—training and developing others—while bringing our values and culture to life across multiple locations.
What skills or experiences have been most significant to your growth?

What market are you in as a Training Store Manager and what’s special about it?
I’m in the New England market, supporting multiple teams across different states. What makes this market special is the diversity of teams and their unique needs—every store has its own personality and opportunities. My role allows me to adapt my support while bringing our values and culture to life across the market.
You were also a Talent Scout. What did you do in that role?
