About the role

The Network Engineer provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 network support for users, IT business partners, and the Client Services team across the corporate environment, and is based in our Times Square Tower office. This role is focused on frontline troubleshooting for wireless, wired, and local connectivity issues while also supporting the Network Engineering team with maintenance, project execution, documentation, and implementation of practical enterprise network solutions. The ideal candidate has hands-on exposure to enterprise switching, routing, wireless, and VPN technologies, including a solid practical understanding of routing protocols and how they are implemented and supported in a production network environment. This position is expected to be onsite five days per week and may interact with senior leadership when supporting business-critical connectivity needs.

The impact you can have

  • Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for local and remote users, including troubleshooting wireless and wired connectivity for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, conference rooms, and shared workspaces.

  • Partner closely with the Client Services team to resolve end-user connectivity issues, improve escalation quality, and reduce repeat incidents through documentation and root-cause analysis.

  • Support the Network Engineering team in day-to-day operational work, including network maintenance, MDF/IDF cleanup, and readiness activities for building or facilities maintenance.

  • Install, configure, validate, and support network assets such as routers, switches, wireless access points, cabling, switch ports, trunks, VLANs, and related campus network components.

  • Apply practical knowledge of routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP to assist with implementation, validation, troubleshooting, and change support in an enterprise environment.

  • Participate in network engineering projects by gathering requirements, assisting with design discussions, testing proposed solutions, documenting changes, and supporting implementation activities.

  • Recommend and help implement enterprise networking best practices, standards, and repeatable processes that improve network reliability and the end-user experience.

  • Develop and maintain support documentation, diagrams, standard operating procedures, VLAN references, MDF/IDF switch documentation, and wireless access point inventories.

  • Manage network support tickets, prioritize critical issues appropriately, communicate status clearly, and escalate to support partners or Tier 3 network engineering when needed.

  • Prioritize executive and business-critical support needs when required, including C-level support scenarios.

  • Provide after-hours or weekend support as needed for maintenance windows, outages, or time-sensitive operational activities.

  • Work onsite five days per week to provide hands-on support for local connectivity, campus networking, conference room issues, and project-related implementation work.

You’ll bring to the role

Minimum of 3 years of relevant network support or network engineering experience in an enterprise environment.

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate certification or equivalent practical experience preferred.

  • Good practical understanding of TCP/IP and routing protocols, including EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP, with experience supporting or implementing routing in an enterprise network environment.

  • Comfortable using Cisco command line interface tools for basic configuration, validation, and troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with Cisco Catalyst switching, trunking, VLANs, switch ports, access layer troubleshooting, and campus network support.

  • Basic understanding of VPN technologies, including IPsec and SSL VPN concepts.

  • Experience supporting wireless connectivity issues, access point environments, and local user connectivity troubleshooting.

  • Ability to work with ticketing systems such as Ivanti, ServiceNow, or similar platforms to manage daily workload and track resolution progress.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex situations, recommend a technical solution, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively with Client Services, network engineers, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Understanding of Microsoft 365 tools, including Outlook, Teams, and Onedrive.

  • Retail IT experience is a plus.

  • The target salary range for this role is: $80,000 - $90,000

*Any job offer will consider factors such your qualifications, relevant experience, and skills. Eligibility of certain benefits and associate programs are subject to employment type and role.

On-site: This role is an onsite position (Time Square Tower/ NYC based), five days per week, to ensure timely hands-on support for local users, campus connectivity, conference room connectivity, network maintenance, and project implementation activities.
